FINALLY!!

Hey everyone, sorry it has taken me so long to update! This semester has been very busy, and I'm finally getting to the point where I have something physical to put up. This project was for my 3-D design class. The assignment was to make a character from a book using only the book and glue. So I decided to use the children's book, 'Where the Wild Things Are'. This little character is made completely from the book and glue, thats all!!!! It was so fun and I really enjoyed it :D

Art Classes!!

So... my second semester of art classes just got under way! It has been so exciting and challenging already and I'm looking forward to everything I'm going to learn. Hopefully I will be able to post some of my projects for school before too long!

Coffee?

i work at coffee kiosk and the other day it was a little slow and i decided to experiment with latte art. its so much harder than i imagined, but it was fun and tasty :D

Lettering

so, i love drawing words! normally i draw names for people, but i was doodling around with a design for a friend and i just ran with it :D

In Color

Just some of my art in color... it took a little more work, but its fun

so, i know that i haven't put anything new up for quite awhile now... the truth is that i've been so busy finishing up some school stuff that i just haven't had the time to create anything new! so... this summer i will be busy :D

YAY!! the piece titled 'the circus' got into the student show! YAY :D

'The Circus'

I'm not sure why I named this one 'The Circus'. I wanted something that wasn't really obvious, but still gave it character, hopefully it adds to the piece. :D This piece and the one before it 'The Flower' are two that I submitted for a student art show at my school. We'll see if I get in or not!

The Flower

I created this flower for an art class when we were studying value. We had to come up with something that was half light value and half dark value. It was so fun to do and it turned out to be one of my favorites. I'm planning on submitting it to a juried student art show! Hopefully it will get in :D

Black and White Lettering

This style of art work is my favorite! I made this for my friend Keith's birthday and it was so fun to do! I have a few more pieces in this style that I want to put on this blog I just haven't scanned them into the computer yet, so more will eventually be coming.

Self Portrait

So, I had to draw a self portrait for my beginning drawing class. Of course, that day I wore my hair back, so it looks a little funny. It was my first time ever attempting to draw a real face... so it can only get better right?! :D

My Family

I really like drawing cartoons of people, all of my cartoons look very similar but it is fun for me to find the uniqueness and try to draw it. I did this drawing of my family for my mom for Christmas.
